Mount Baker Pink Pistols

Armed Queers Don't Get Bashed

Who We Are

We are the Mount Baker chapter of the Pink Pistols -- a nation-wide organization dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for people of all identities to engage in lawful gun ownership and use. With the ever changing political landscape, many individuals are re-evaluating their stance on gun ownership, and we seek to welcome them with open arms. Many of our members are located in Whatcom County, but we do not discriminate.

We believe that self-defense is a human right. To that end, we exist in part to change the public perception of minorities -- specifically, that we are not easy targets. Armed minorities are harder to oppress, and we are stronger together.

Who Can Join

The Pink Pistols is open to anyone and everyone regardless of race, gender, or sexuality. The only requirements are that they are firstly pro-LGBTQ+, and secondly pro-gun (or at least gun-curious). There is no membership fee, no obligation to attend meetings or range days, and no need to own a firearm -- just come as you are. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive community where LGBTQ+ individuals and allies can learn about responsible gun ownership, self-defense, and firearm safety. Whether you're an experienced shooter or a beginner, we have a welcoming space to ask questions, build skills, and connect with like-minded individuals who value personal safety and LGBTQ+ empowerment.
